It’s no secret that most dogs are natural swimmers (doggy paddle, anyone??), but that doesn’t mean you should always count on their swimming abilities. Kismet here spent this Fourth of July out on Vandalia Lake, where the water was anything but calm. Because there were so many boats on the water, we made sure she had a life jacket, just in case she happened to fall or jump into the water. When the lake gets crowded, the water gets choppy, making it harder for her to swim and harder for others to see her natural colors in the water.
As you can see by the pictures below, she had a great time out on the water. She wouldn’t stop grinning - Caribbean cruises couldn’t have made her happier. Best of all, she stayed safe the entire time. If you’re in the market for a dog jacket of your own, check out Fido Float Life Jackets at Drs. Foster & Smith. They range from about $16-$30, depending on the size your dog needs.
